Professor Peev: I am especially irritated when deliverables look like they were created by four different people. Consistency and cohesion are a big part of professional presentation. Make sure each document uses the same font, font size, page size, layout, etc. Terminology should also be consistent through the documents.
Think about ways to help communicate your idea and make it stand out...
--Visuals are an excellent way to get your idea across. Consider a “wireframe” of your app– a mock up or dummy version of what it would look like and how it might work.
--Consider branding. The best teams usually create a name/logo/tag line that helps capture and sell their idea.
--Note that you will likely refine visuals and branding over time. These are not the final look and feel of your design.
A NOTE ON NOTES: I discourage the use of notes. In most cases, if you practice well, you shouldn't need notes for a 5-10 minute presentation. But I understand there are occasionally circumstances that require notes. If you will be using notes during the presentation, you must discuss it with me before you present. If you do not discuss it with me, you will see a 10 point penalty on your presentation grade.
